: Loewe autumn/winter 2011 Presentation :

i have to admit the love for sheep skin products… whenever i touch them, it’s like soft cotton candies for kids – heavenly! Loewe, the brand famous for its signature bags & accessories, has presented their autumn/winter 2011 collection.

Flamenco Pre-Collection autumn/winter 2011

the Flamenco is launched in the brand’s signature leather – napa leather for pre-collection autumn/winter 2011 – a fun and cheekily curvaceous bag in a range of bright, playful colours.

it was first introduced by Loewe in 1984 and last year, Loewe’s creative director
Stuart Vevers discovered the Flamenco in the house archive and decided to reintroduce it (wee! i’m glad he did it!), updating the original with more contemporary proportions, a new strap and my favorite oversized tassels. Now, after 27 years, the Flamenco is available in a range of bold colours
for autumn 2011: from hot pinks, flame and fuchsia to cool beetroot and apple green (HK$13,900 – 17,900).

FW2011 Womens Ready to Wear Collection

the collection concentrates on outerwear, an
area in which Loewe can employ its centuries-old skills with leathers, skins and furs to explore
the richness of texture and form inherent in the materials.  the volumes and structural forms create a distinctive silhouette for each piece. in a closer look, you can feel the original and naturalness of the materials – the grain of antelope hair or a patchwork of hair
calf in the skirt. the use of various materials reflecting the house codes: nappa, suede, hair-calf, nubuck, shearling, ostrich, fox and silk.

i’m loving the pop color of this orange leather coat! the structure and carefully designed details make it come in natural volume

my personal crave for ostrich leather has drawn me straight to this piece.

the plastic knot button kinda reminds me of my childhood big coat that i used to love =)

those design details… that’s why i love black on black

what i love the most of this collection is still the accessories that come with

i’m dying for this pair!

  • Loewe Autumn/Winter 2011 Ad Campaign

strong, sensual, passionate woman returns in the form of Mariacarla Boscono. it was shot in the Ritz Hotel in Madrid, a century-old landmark where the Hollywood star Ava Gardner would drink with Ernest Hemingway in the Fifties and Sixties, after making the city her home. both she and Hemingway were Loewe customers, a natural connection to the house that the creative team behind the campaign was keen to explore.
